MICHAEL A. LOMBARDO is Creative Director and Managing Partner of Creative Insight, LLC, a creative design agency
based in Fairfield County, CT. His passion for art and the creative field ignited when he was age 5—taking adult drawing classes.
His career started in publishing, working for Times Mirror in Stamford, CT, where he became a designer and Art Director. Working on numerous advertising projects, he developed his skill for the fast-paced demands of the publishing world. After working at Times Mirror, he moved on to work as an Art Director/designer at Pace University in Manhattan. He also has worked in New York City and Stamford, CT for Munroe Creative Partners, a Philadelphia-based creative firm as an Art Director. There he worked on design projects with high-end clients such as Mercedes Benz, Pitney Bowes, Amtrak, Hitachi Medical Corporation of America, Foxwoods Casino & Resort and U.S. Trust.
In 2002 Michael and his partner, Nancy Andersen, formed Creative Insight with a deep passion to take the creative field to a new level of inspiration—offering their clients a dynamic and high-level of customized, attention-to-detail and innovative style of creative service.
Michael believes a fundamental foundation of traditional art theories and techniques is what helps him achieve the conceptual skills needed before turning to the computer during the initial phase of a creative project. He has been designing and illustrating for over 25 years and takes pride in being part of the transitions of the digital world which has helped him evolve into the versatile, innovative designer he set out to become. He enjoys producing a wide range of digital illustration styles incorporating it into his client’s company projects and brand logo identities.
He is strategic, conceptual and artistic, with innovative design skills. Michael looks forward to the challenges and rewards each project presents. He simply loves the creative process and is passionate about inspiring people to open their minds and allow the creative process to evolve and move them.
He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and holds a B.S. in Fine Arts with a Specialization in Visual Communications.
When Michael isn’t art directing or at the computer illustrating, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3-year old daughter.
He enjoys New York City, New York Botanical Gardens and playing sports— basketball and baseball. His favorite vacation spot is
always-sunny, San Diego, CA.
