NANCY ANDERSEN is Art Director and Managing Partner of Creative Insight, LLC,. Her love for the creative field has
always been a part of her life and career. Her career started in the publishing field working for Times Mirror in Stamford,
CT, as the Special Sections Manager for 12 years—managing and producing 50 + special supplements per year.
A one-man-show position, she wrote, edited, photographed, and designed every publication while working under tight
deadlines. In addition, learning all aspects of publishing including production, pre-press, print management and
working with art department and sales managers.
She continued her career at AZ Marketing in Greenwich, CT, as the Creative Director for 4 years. She concepted, designed
and produced advertisements and promotions for their high-end clients including Victoria Secret, Macy's, Sundance Catalog,
Bloomingdales and many more. In addition, created and produced ads and promos for their non-profit clients including
CARE and Save the Children. Handled all aspects of running and managing the art department producing company materials,
buying media space and scheduling.
The owner of AZ Marketing, Alice Zea, was her mentor and inspired her to start her own business as she did herself.
The opening of Creative Insight started in 2001 with a magazine client. From there, Nancy and her managing partner,
Michael Lombardo, built the business over the years with a broad base of clients in all industries, businesses and non-profits.
Their experience together proved to be dynamic and successful—combining out of the box concepts, high-level & specialized
design, branding with custom illustration, punchy creative writing, photography, and thorough production & print management
skills. Their passion together for the creative field has been very rewarding, having their own agency, working personally and
directly one-on-one with clients—making each and every project original and memorable while adding value
to their client’s goals.
When Nancy is not creating, she treasures spending time with her husband and three-year-old daughter who they adopted
from China, enjoying the simple things in life such as nature, beach walks, the zoo and botanical gardens. She has a background
in jazz and modern dance and performed on stage for seven years in CT and NYC. She has a special place in her heart for all animals
and helps organizations pro bono with marketing materials in order for animals to get adopted. New York City is top on her list
for inspiration in the creative field—visiting museums, attending events, walking in Central Park, discovering new art, soaking
in the culture and music!
